Who we are

Isanti Analytics LLC is an independent consulting practice based in Isanti County, Minnesota, founded and run by Ryan Whitacre. We build data science, AI tools, and websites for small businesses and farms. The kind of places that generate plenty of data but don't have an engineer on staff to make sense of it.

Background

  • A decade in manufacturing doing reliability engineering and data science. Finding signal in messy, real-world data and turning it into better decisions and lower costs.
  • A solid toolbox. The same statistical and machine-learning methods big manufacturers use, applied only where they'll actually pay off.
  • Credentialed. ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer and Certified Quality Engineer, M.S. Mechanical Engineering, and a data science program from UT Austin.
  • Builder by nature. Runs a home lab with working systems: automated machine-learning pipelines, open-source AI models on local hardware, and generative-AI workflows that run to completion.
  • Built and operate Homeschool Trellis, a production web application for homeschooling families.

In 2019, before machine learning was mainstream, Ryan built a stock-analysis model in Excel that improved its own weights by random mutation and backtesting. Hand-rolled VBA. The tools have gotten much better. The instinct to build them hasn't changed.

How we work

Plain language, honest scoping, and respect for your time. We'd rather tell you a spreadsheet formula solves your problem than sell you a machine-learning project you don't need. When we build something, it's built to be reliable, understandable, and yours.

We run Isanti Analytics as an evenings-and-weekends practice alongside a full-time engineering career. That's intentional. It keeps the client list short, overhead near zero, and every project on the owner's desk. Calls and replies usually happen outside standard business hours. In our experience, that suits most owners and farmers just fine.
